Eatnfill Product Requirements Document

Eatnfill Product Requirements Document

There has been a counter-culture phenomenon in Nigeria concerning eating out, since 2020, during the COVID-19 pandemic era, restaurants in Nigeria have seen growth in terms of orders and recurring customers, because of the lockdown that was in place then which forced a lot of restaurants to close down to visitors and open up to online orders of food, this era also witnessed the start and growth of various food delivery apps and delivery services.

Week 1 Task Brief

This week, we have been tasked to create a Product Requirements Document for a food delivery app, and we were instructed to pair with a Product Design team that will design the product. The name of the food delivery app is Eatnfill, this app helps you order food from the nearest restaurants in 15 minutes! You have access to different restaurants closer and farther away from your location and you can search restaurants and food cuisines by name. Eatnfill provides instant tracking of food deliveries once you've paid for your order and you have access to food categories, restaurants' ratings and also you can review restaurants after your order.

Obstacle

In my team, we were unable to pair with a product design team for visualizing our product, but we were able to design an onboarding mockup ourselves, creating the PRD was everyone's task and some team members were quite proactive by volunteering to do some tasks such as designing Product Roadmap, User flow, User persona, Tables design and writing the User story. The team lead shared the sub-tasks among team members who are proficient in using tools like ClickUp and Whimsical, and video guides was shared among the team members to use as guides too.

Steps in creating a Product Requirements Document for EatnFill

Creating a Clickup Workspace for the team; To manage all the team members' communication and to manage our tasks, we used the Clickup project management tool.

Product Name Creation: At this stage, we chose a product name out of the various suggestions from team members and we picked Eat N Fill because it's descriptive and evocative.

Product Details and Direction: it is at this stage we debated on the type of app we are building whether it's a food app or a Food delivery app. We followed the tasks' instructions and went with Food Delivery App.

PRD Creation: We created the Product Requirements Document page on ClickUp space for our team, and we included all the features shared with the template webpage we included other necessary PRD features too.

Product Roadmap, User Flow, and, User Persona Design: The team lead and other team members were assigned to design the User flow, User personas for food buyers and restaurant owners, and their user stories.

PRD and other Essentials Proofread and Editing: We collaborated on editing the PRD and all other essentials.

Submission: EatnFill Product Requirements Document was submitted using the required methods of submission.
